Last Tuesday night, February 24, 2026, we hosted our very first Rips & Sips event — and it was everything we hoped it would be.
We kicked things off at 7PM right here at Goatz, where collectors started grabbing their boxes and getting ready for the night. There’s always that electric feeling before a big rip — the anticipation, the strategy, the quiet “what if this is the one?” energy.
From there, we headed right next door to Carpool Sports Bar, where we had a private room reserved just for our crew. The vibes were immediate. Drinks were flowing, and some of us took advantage of Carpool’s $4 happy hour tacos (before 8PM) — which paired surprisingly well with ripping wax.
At 8PM, the ripping officially began.
Boxes were cracked. Sleeves were ready. Top loaders were flying.
But this wasn’t just a casual rip night — we came prepared to give back to the community that’s supported us from day one.
Throughout the night, we randomly drew names and gave away over $500 worth of boxes and packs. Every few minutes, someone’s name was called. The energy never dipped because there was always something happening.
About halfway through the night, we took a quick intermission — and that’s when something awesome happened. A handful of collectors walked right back over to Goatz to grab MORE boxes. That’s when we knew we had something special brewing. The excitement was contagious.
Then came the ultimate challenge of the night:

The prize would go to whoever pulled the highest value card of the night.
The competition was tight. Some incredible cards were revealed. But in the end, the crown went to Steve, who pulled a monster:

The entire night was filled with fun, laughs, big pulls, and genuine community. From seasoned collectors to casual rippers, everyone felt like part of something bigger than just opening boxes.
And honestly? That’s the reason Goatz was started in the first place.
We love the hobby.
We love bringing people together.
And we love creating moments like this.
